How to play Monte Carlo Solitaire

Remove equal-ranked cards that touch horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Compact and refill only when no pair remains.

How to play

  1. Deal twenty-five cards in a five-by-five grid.
  2. Remove touching cards of equal rank.
  3. Use horizontal, vertical or diagonal neighbours.
  4. When no pair remains, compact the grid and refill it.
  5. Remove all 52 cards to win.

Strategy tips

  • Clear every available pair before refilling.
  • Central pairs often create more new neighbours.
  • When pairs overlap, choose the removal that creates the most future contacts.
